Community guidelines
Last updated: July 2026. Gaffer is a competitive but friendly game. These rules apply to penalties lobby chat, club names, display names, custom crests, and any other content you share.
Be respectful
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or slurs.
- No sexual content involving minors — zero tolerance.
- No doxxing or sharing another player's private information.
- Trash talk about the game is fine; attacks on protected groups are not.
Penalties lobby chat
- Chat is visible to managers currently in the penalties lobby.
- Messages are automatically deleted after about 24 hours.
- No spam, scams, phishing links, or advertising unrelated to Gaffer.
- Use the Report button on a message or email support@gaffer.gg to flag abuse.
Club names, display names & crests
- Do not impersonate other players, real clubs, or Gaffer staff.
- Custom crest images must not contain illegal, pornographic, or hateful imagery.
- We may reset names or remove crests that break these rules.
Fair play
Do not use bots, multi-account abuse, match fixing, or exploits. Report serious bugs to support@gaffer.gg instead of exploiting them.
Enforcement
We may warn, mute (by removing messages), suspend, or permanently ban accounts that violate these guidelines. Severe violations may be reported to law enforcement where required.
